Fashion Forward Spring 2016
As we usher in spring-summer 2016 hottest trends such as negligees, magpie, and Bohemia, let’s not forget shimmer, lace, prints and embellishments. Designers such as Balenciaga, Roberto Cavalli, Alberta Ferretti, Prada, and Valentino unveiled this year’s spring-summer fashion. With gender duality in mind, Pantone unveiled the colours of the year, Serenity and Rose Quartz.
All-white, the secret to this huge trend is knowing how to mix textures and tones. White may seem like only one colour but it is actually several different tones such as yellowish white or blueish white. Perhaps the best way to identify whites is under natural light. Go ahead and mix your whites together. You could choose to stay cool or warm. White purses and shoes are statement pieces and must-haves this spring and summer seasons.
The slip dress rendition is sleek and chic and are back with a perfectly flirty look with a modern edge. Add a light trench coat as a final touch. Runways had their fair share of crumpled fabric to micro pleats and from pajama dressing to cold shoulders.

Shoulder cutouts and off-the-shoulder are definitely back this spring along with asymmetrical necklines topped off with ruffles, flamenco skirts influenced by Spanish-inspired looks. Maxi and pencil skirts have arrived this spring. Besides being trendy, pencil skirts can go from formal to sportswear.
