Pained Love

In love with a girl, ashamed of herself,
Blamed for her love, of the same sex.
“Ew, that’s wrong,” then what is right?
She was right all along,
Just alone every night.
“It’s not natural.”
Reverse the elimination.
Embrace her, she’s not different,
It’s just a judgment that’s ignorant.
“It’s a phase”, “you’re disgusting”,
Every gay child inhales.
Choking on those words,
Provoking their hearts.
In a world so hateful, a world so cruel,
Thought you’d care,
She’d be a fool.
Her heart made of steel,
But no aid to cure.
Bullet to her head,
You’ve poisoned the pure.
